Terms of service

Last updated: 17 April 2026

These terms are a plain-language agreement between you and Kuppi. By using the site, you accept them.

1. What Kuppi is

Kuppi is a free, non-commercial platform that helps Sri Lankan students find courses, tutors, past papers, and each other. Content is created by users — we host it, but we don't endorse it.

2. Your account

  • You must provide a working email address.
  • Keep your account secure. Don't share your sign-in code.
  • One person, one account. Impersonating someone else is not allowed.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to follow the community guidelines. In short: be respectful, keep it academic, don't cheat, respect copyright, and protect others' privacy. We may suspend or remove accounts that repeatedly break these rules.

4. Content you post

You keep ownership of content you post (questions, answers, course materials, offers, messages). By posting, you grant Kuppi a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content on the platform so other users can see it.

You are responsible for what you post. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share.

5. Paid classes between users

Teachers may advertise paid classes. Any payment and the actual teaching happens between the teacher and the student — Kuppi is not a party to that contract, does not process payments, and takes no commission. Disputes between a teacher and a student should be resolved directly between them.

6. No warranty

Kuppi is provided "as is". We do our best to keep the site working and the information accurate, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. Past-paper answers, Z-score calculators, and UGC cutoffs shown on the site are for guidance — always double-check official sources before making decisions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Kuppi and its volunteers are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Sri Lankan law.

8. Termination

You can stop using Kuppi and delete your account any time — email us at hello@kuppi.edu.lk. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or the community guidelines.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If the change is significant, we'll flag it on the site. Continuing to use Kuppi after an update means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
